SYMBOLIC OF MIGRANTS RESIDENT IN RIO DE JANEIRO  
We are several organizations in the campaign to support a PEC (proposed amendment to the constitution) to guarantee the right to vote for migrants in Brazilian elections. We believe that political rights are human rights and that the exercise of citizenship should be detached from nationality. On the eve of the Municipal Elections of October 2024, we call on the migrant and refugee population residing in Rio de Janeiro to register their vote for mayor of the city below as a symbolic exercise of citizenship.
